Clover and Pink Ruffles

J. Crew Ruffle Blouse (dress) | Levi’s Wedgie Jeans
Nannacay Maldives Bag | Loeffler Randall Vera Slides (+colors)
Ann Taylor Earrings | Ray-Ban Clubmaster Sunglasses

I’m matching up ruffles on my blouse with ruffles on my slides. Both vibrant and oh so romantic! In addition to ruffles on pretty much everything I wear lately, I’m crushing on pom pom bags and floral earrings. I mean, it isn’t quite spring until we’re having a floral, ruffle pom party, right? For the sake of all the newly acquired ruffles (and poms and flowers) in my closet, I hope this is a trend that stays!

Yellow Flowers

When I splurge on clothing, it’s usually high quality staples with unique features like this ruffled blouse. I have a few white button-down shirts in my closet but none as pretty as this one! It looks romantic dressed up with a skirt and just as sweet dressed down with jeans (inspiration to come). Though it was pricey, I find myself reaching for it all the time and for so many different occasions. Yellow has been my favorite color to wear this spring and this jacquard skirt was a major steal. Dainty flowers on quality fabric for under $50? It doesn’t get better than that! These earrings are not so dainty and not such a steal but they are truly stunning statement-makers. I feel instantly fabulous when I put them on!

Ruffle Wrap

J. Crew Earrings | Sole Society Cuff Bracelet (similar) | Ray-Ban Clubmaster Sunglasses

Latest love – this ruffle wrap skirt! It looks and feels like a high end designer skirt. The material is substantial and the ruffle wrap is such a stylish detail! I had a hard time choosing between this skirt and this bohemian version from J. Crew. Both are beautifully made but in the end, I think I prefer the refined and streamlined look of the one I’m wearing. When I’m not wearing a sexy bodysuit and lace-up heels, I love wearing this skirt with a striped tee and sassy sneakers. I also picked up this blue beauty so you can bet the ruffle party rages on this spring! :)

Topshop Dress (also love) | Zara Sandals (similar) | Mansur Gavriel Moon Clutch (mini)

My husband celebrated his 40th birthday in February and I had nothing to wear. Every single party dress hanging in my closet was too short, too tight, too bright or too sparkly (yes, even for me). Party dresses that I loved wearing in my twenties no longer look good on me in my late thirties. So, I was happy to try this jacquard dress. It’s perfect for an older gal! The fabric is fancy. Both the silhouette and length are figure flattering but not too tight or short. The plunging neckline is an illusion created by flesh colored mesh fabric and that’s my favorite part. Because a party dress still has to be a little sexy!

p.s. I mismatched my earrings on purpose. I couldn’t decide which pair to wear so I wore one of each.

p.p.s. Happy Mother’s Day to all you amazing moms out there! I am sure it’s not said enough that each and every one of you is doing an incredible job raising kind and brave citizens of the world.

Gingham on Gingham

MLM Label Top (size down, save) | ASOS Skirt (similar, save)
Mansur Gavriel Market Bag (save) | Castaner Campina Espadrilles (+styles, save)
Urban Outfitters Hoop Earrings | Ray-Ban Clubmaster Sunglasses

I wear stripes all year long but gingham is my favorite print for summer. I love that the print feels modern in the shape of this market bag and style of this wrap shirt. Of course I had to try mixing them together and I love the effect! In addition to the bag and shirt, I picked up these adorable espadrilles and this sweet maxi dress to wear to champagne brunch dates and al fresco dinner parties this summer. Not that I’ve been invited to any so far… but the dress is an excuse to plan these events, right?
