Good Hair Days

Featherweight Luxe 2i Hair Dryer and Singlepass Luxe Styling Iron c/o T3 Micro

Since I started this fashion blog, I have learned that good hair is an essential part of your overall look. Actually, it’s the most important thing! I hate to admit it but good hair will do more for your appearance than a fabulous outfit. Fashion is where I like to explore my creative side so that’s where I spend my time. Still, I try to put in some effort into my hair because like I said, it’s pretty darn important.

I’ve been using the same curling iron and hair dryer for the last decade so I jumped at the chance to upgrade my hair tools. This styling iron and hair dryer from T3 Micro are sleek and sophisticated. They’re lovely with the rose gold trim. But do they work as good as they look? You bet.

I color my hair so it’s coarse and easily tangled. If I don’t dry my hair completely before I go to bed, my hair is a bird’s nest in the morning! After a shower, I dried my hair on medium heat and the dryer seemed to work very gently and quickly. I also loved that the dryer was light to hold because it can take awhile to dry long hair.

After drying, my hair felt softer and silkier than usual. I used the barrel brush that comes with the dryer to polish out the hair framing my face. I’ve used barrel brushes in the past that would get tangled up in my hair but this one was smooth and easy all the way!

I own a round barrel curling iron so you often see me with curly or wavy hair. This styling iron with flat plates gave me the chance to try something new with my hair. :)

First, I straightened my hair to give it a sleek, shiny look. My hair is frizzy from being color processed and the iron flattened out everything. Then, I took advantage of the iron’s curved edges to give the ends of my hair a slight curl. I’m always worried about applying too much heat to my dry and damaged hair but the iron seemed gentle to use. I haven’t figured out how to use the iron to make curls and waves but that’s something I’m hoping to try next!

I partnered with T3 Micro on this post. All opinions are my own. Thanks for reading this review!

Balloons and Ruffles

Topshop Sweatshirt | Zara Skirt | Madewell Jeans (love)
Alexander Wang Mini Roxy Bag | Marais USA Jardin Sandals
Saint Laurent Sunglasses (save)

I gravitate toward feminine classic style but I can’t resist a funky fashion find. When I saw this balloon sleeve sweatshirt in the most perfect shade of marigold, I thought A-Ha! It might look amazing with a pleather ruffle miniskirt layered over crop flare jeans. And a statement bucket bag covered in glittering jewels. And the coolest retro modern sandals with ergonomically sound 2 inch heels! Am I right?

First Day of Spring

Zara Floral Skirt | Baldwin Denim Top (love)
Simon Miller Bonsai Bag (mini) | J. Crew Sandals
BaubleBar Crispin Earrings | Ray-Ban Sunglasses

Happy first day of spring everyone! We don’t get to experience changing seasons in LA very often. But after an unusually cold and wet winter, the arrival of spring feels like a special occasion. Flowers are blooming all over the city. Our greens are greener from all the rain. Daylight hours feel longer and brighter.

In celebration of spring, I’m busting out my favorite florals. For me, midi skirts are as easy to wear as jeans. They are instantly dressy with a blouse and heels and casual yet effortlessly feminine with a t-shirt and flats. I love the pretty florals on this one (and this one!). To finish the look, I knotted a classic white buttondown and added statement earrings and sandals in the prettiest shade of blue.

Golden Flowers

J. Crew Sequin Cardigan | Ann Taylor Sweater | AG Jeans
Simon Miller Bonsai Bag (mini, large) | Aquazzura Sandals (love)
Ray-Ban Sunglasses

The colors of this sequin cardigan remind me of a glorious sunset. You guys know how much I love wearing beautiful colors and this golden yellow with the shimmering pink might be the prettiest combo I’ve seen lately. I added a bright green sweater, bold blue sandals and funky purple sunglasses to throw a few more gorgeous colors into the mix… and I feel like a walking rainbow! :)

Tiered Ruffles

ASOS Skirt | Zara Tunic (love) | Madewell Jacket (similar)
Simon Miller Bonsai Bag (mini, large) | Sigerson Morrison Clogs (love)
Sole Society Bracelet (similar) | Forever21 Earrings (love) | Ray-Ban Sunglasses

Oh, the drama of these ruffles! Ruffles have been huge this season and I am loving the tiers of ruffles cascading down this maxi skirt. The silhouette is slim, high-waisted and figure flattering. It looks great with a basic tee or if you want to add a twist, a one-shoulder top or cut-out bodysuit. This little bonsai bag is turning out to be a versatile favorite. The color goes with everything and the unique shape and handles add an element of chic to every single look. The mini version is on my wishlist!
