Go Go Dress

Camilyn Beth Go Go Dress c/o | Modern Weaving Moon Dancer Earrings (save)
Staud Bissett Bucket Bag (save) | Marc Jacobs Lust Sandals (on sale!)
Kate Spade Bangles | Ray-Ban Sunglasses

As I grow older, I’m investing in staples that will mature with me. Quality counts because I am looking for clothing that I will want to wear for years to come. A cocktail dress is one of these staples and this go go dress is a beautiful choice! The style is modest enough to wear to work and school events. But the ruffles and back detail are super sweet and fun. Green is one of my favorite colors to wear so I chose this vibrant yet sophisticated color. In black, this dress could be the perfect LBD for all your fancy events and in red, this dress is a showstopper!

Statement earrings in interesting, modern shapes have been my kryptonite lately. I splurged on these “moon dancer” earrings and have been wearing them everywhere. They look beautiful with dresses if you’re going for modern glam. They also have the ability to instantly elevate t-shirt and jeans! I found some amazing cheaper options that I’ve featured below.

It’s scorching in LA this week. :) Stay cool my friends!

Pajama Dressing

C&C California Slip Dress | Zara Kimono (love)
Chloé Nile Bag (save) | Vince Portia Pumps (save)
Happiness Boutique Necklace c/o | Forever21 Earrings (similar)

Slip dresses and kimonos have been big trends this year. I’m putting them together in this post for some pajama dressing! The trick to wearing a slip dress is to stick to rich sophisticated colors like deep red. (Light or pastel colors can look too much like lingerie.) For a dressy look, I would add polished accessories like smart pumps, a fancy handbag and statement jewelry. But for something casual, I would try high top sneakers and a topknot bun!

Summer’s Best Little White Dress

Lulus Dress
Chloé Nile Bag (save) | Madewell Boardwalk Sandals
J. Crew Earrings | Sole Society Cuff (similar, sale) | Ray-Ban Sunglasses (save)

Are you guys ready for the 4th? I’m almost there with this little white dress (just missing something blue!). A white dress is an item that I make sure to have in my closet for those long hot days in the summer. After retiring one that I wore to nearly every vacation in recent years, I found this beautiful replacement. It’s as comfortable as it is pretty and you can’t beat the price for the quality of dress. This is my first purchase from Lulus and it won’t be my last. Though the style of clothing is generally young and sexy, I’m finding cute t-shirts and dresses that are stylish and budget friendly. One of my favorite things about fashion blogging is discovering new brands and places to shop. I hope this blog can be a resource for you guys on your style journey too.

Wishing everyone a fun and fabulous 4th of July! Fireworks and apple pie, oh my!

H&M Off the Shoulder Top (love) | Chelsea28 Ruffle Skirt
J. Crew Straw Bag (similar) | No.21 Knotted Pumps (save)
J. Crew Earrings | Ray-Ban Sunglasses (save)

I’m combining summer’s hottest fashion trends – off-the-shoulder, ruffles and a straw handbag! This ruffle skirt has been one of my favorite finds this year. It pairs perfectly with a shoulder baring top for a sweet and romantic look. And it’s just as fun and flirty with a casual tee (see this post). The length is long enough for some drama but short enough to show off cute shoes. About these shoes… I’m a big fan of No.21’s funky knotted style so I was excited to find these kitten pumps on sale. Elegant in the most modern way, they are a work of art!

Straw bags are a fun way to tote around summer essentials. A small crossbody is perfect for the basics and a large tote is just right for everything else that you need this season.

Romper Season

Zara Romper (in stores)
Madewell Lucena Tote Bag | Castañer Campina Espadrilles (similar, save)
Janessa Leone Hat (similar, save) | J. Crew Earrings | Ray-Ban Sunglasses

I scored this adorable romper for under $40 and with the big sale that Zara is having right now, it’s probably even cheaper in stores (sold out online). The print is colorful and festive. And the ruffled sleeves are hard to resist. For the perfect summer look, I added easy espadrilles and straw accessories like a fun tote and a good hat. I have a few vacations coming up this season and this entire outfit is coming with me!

p.s. AG’s semi annual sale is now up to 40% off! I’m picking up a few things for Chris and updating my closet with casual tees (love these stripes and perfect v-neck) and polished tops (adore this dressy knit and silk blouse). More sale picks in this post!
