Tomboy Florals

Floral Dress c/o VIPshop
Staud Moreau Bucket Bag | Vans SK8 Sneakers (similar)
Le Specs The Last Lolita Sunglasses (save)

This floral dress is another score from VIPshop! Love the romantic design and the pretty floral print! The high-low hemline is an opportunity to show off cute shoes. I could’ve gone for an ultra feminine look with sweet espadrilles or sexy heels. But if you’ve been following along for awhile, you know that I love a look that’s more balanced. So here I am in my favorite hi-top sneakers. Suddenly there’s a casual, urban vibe that jives with my city gal mom lifestyle. ;)

Again, I am pleasantly surprised by the quality of this piece of clothing from VIPshop. For a dress that’s less than $30, it moves and feels like a dress that’s much more expensive. Growing up, I didn’t have a lot of money to shop for clothing so I frequented many different kinds of discount stores. Though I splurge more frequently now, I’m still a bargain hunter at heart. I always hope to show you clothing and accessories that are well priced for the quality. I’ve had good results with all of the clothing that I received from VIPshop (more examples here, here and here and one more to come, stay tuned!).

More information about VIPshop can be found in this post. Also, register on the site for a $100 coupon and free standard shipping for orders of $69+. For my readers, $5 off your order over $50 with the code Elizabeth733.

Big thanks to VIPshop for sponsoring this post! All opinions are my own.

Casual in Lace

Lace Blouse c/o VIPshop | Citizens of Humanity Liya Jeans (save)
Fendi Bag (love) | Converse Sneakers (low top)
BaubleBar Earrings (save) | Ray-Ban Sunglasses

Since school started for my boys, I’ve been busy getting up to speed on classroom events and activities. At parent night yesterday, I felt compelled to grab a bag of construction paper to help the teachers cut shapes for special projects. This bag is quite heavy, which means I have a lot of cutting to do this week! So, I have to keep this post short and sweet. Lace is the most feminine fabric I can think of and this top is very unique. I feel elegant wearing it with a dressy skirt and minimal heels. Had to try it with mom jeans and flashy sneakers too!

Staud Moreau Bucket Bag

Amanda Uprichard Top (dress) c/o | Zara Flare Jeans (similar)
Staud Moreau Bucket Bag | Castañer Carina Espadrilles (love)
Fendi Sunglasses (similar, save)

I get stopped all the time about this bag! I might say this about every new handbag but I honestly feel that this Moreau bucket bag by Staud is very special. These two factors make this bag outstanding – design and quality.

The design is so unique. It is made of two distinct pieces. Netted rope with handles and a leather bucket that slips into the netting. From the bucket shape to the intricate netting to the curved handles, it is a work of art! And the construction of the bag is just as amazing. The bucket and handles are made of gorgeous thick leather and the netting is made from sturdy rope tied into perfect little knots.

All for under $500! People are shocked when I tell them the price is $375. :) Note, there aren’t any compartments but the bag is very roomy (easily fits all my essentials) and it doesn’t lose its shape. One think I don’t love about my Simon Miller Bonsai bag is that, though it is beautiful, it collapses when I’m not holding it (boo). Not the case for this beauty.

This bag has a modern, almost masculine vibe but I love wearing it with feminine clothing like this floral top. Lately, I am investing in some pretty tops that look great with both jeans and fancy pants. Loving the selection from Amanda Uprichard! Tops (and dresses) are sophisticated with just the right amount of sexy. Quality is spot on and the price point agrees with my wallet. I’m featuring a few of my favorite tops below.

Happy Friday everyone! I am so proud of my amazing husband tackling the Malibu Triathlon this Sunday. Go get ’em hunny!

Spicy

Off the Shoulder Top c/o VIPshop | SJYP Jeans (love)
Staud Moreau Bucket Bag | Kurt Geiger Pumps (similar, love, save)
Le Specs The Last Lolita Sunglasses (+colors)

A sexy little top goes a long way and this off the shoulder is a standout! I chose red because it’s my favorite color to wear when I’m in a spicy fashion mood. ;) Paired with a skirt, it looks elegant for special occasions but I think it looks just as fabulous with a great pair of jeans (and a really cool bucket bag). The best part is that it’s under $20. At that price point, it’s often tricky to find clothing that looks and feels like quality. Not an issue with this top or any of the clothing items that I’ve tried from VIPshop in the past (more examples here and here).

VIPshop has gone through some changes since I first discovered it. It has become an international platform for flash sales. The site offers a large selection of clothing, shoes and jewelry organized into easy-to-browse categories. Now they sell activewear, loungewear and children’s clothing too. I can spend hours browsing to find goodies, most of which are priced under $50, many under $20.

I love fashion but I don’t love that trends are often fleeting. I splurge and invest in staples but for the latest trends, I look for sale sites like VIPshop where I can find something fun to try without spending a lot of money. For example, cut-out shoulders or metallic pleats. Both so fun for fall!

Register on the site for a $100 coupon and free standard shipping on your order of $69+. For my readers, $5 off your order over $50 with the code Elizabeth733. Happy shopping everyone!

Big thanks to VIPshop for sponsoring this post. As always, all opinions are my own.

Rainbow Maxi Dress

Amanda Uprichard Rio Maxi Dress (similar) c/o
Chloé Nile Bag (larger, save) | Castañer Carina Espadrilles
Ray-Ban Sunglasses

Feeling romantic in this beautiful maxi dress. :) Silky rainbow stripes are just my thing – vibrant and fancy! I adore the design of this dress. The bodice is flattering for a smaller chest and two slits down the front show a little leg (but not too much). This print appears to be sold out but I love the sweetness of this floral one and think it could be a great special occasion dress in classic black.

Chris and I celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary yesterday. As we sipped sake over a sushi dinner, our little boys played with their food and squirmed in their seats. When I looked into their mischievous faces, I felt certain that the best thing about our marriage was the love that we created in the form of these adorable human beings!
