Textures

Triple threat. A gorgeous tweed coat mixed with luscious velvet loafers and a pair of fancy pants. Officially my new uniform for fall!

This outfit looks way more dressy than it is because of all the rich textures. I fell in love with this tweed coat the minute I saw it. The color is a dreamy green with flecks of yellow, white and orangey-red. It is so unique and beautiful! J. Crew makes high quality outerwear at reasonable prices and this coat is the perfect example. It looks expensive but with all the promotions, I picked it up for around $200. That’s a great deal for an eye-catching coat that is made to last.

You might have noticed that velvet is my favorite texture for fall (velvet everything here). I was so excited about these velvet pants that I wore them immediately after I ripped open the package. Now that I see these photos, I realize that I need to steam them first. Despite the wrinkles, they are fabulous! They’re a pull-on style that feel like sweatpants but look extremely luxurious. I am wearing them with my favorite t-shirts and giving my jeans a break this fall.

Finally, so much love for these velvet loafers! They are comfortable to wear as everyday flats but the velvety texture makes them very special. Sophisticated in black but a stand-out in the pink.
