Flowers and Feathers

Topshop Floral Dress
Staud Bissett Bucket Bag (+colors) | Charlotte Stone Yvonne Feather Sandals
Sole Society Cuff Bracelet (similar) | Ray-Ban Sunglasses

Big thanks to all my friends whose kind words made me feel so much better! Parenting is harder than I ever imagined and it helps to be surrounded by people who (1) understand and (2) love you. Lots of them!

My older son Lucas goes back to school (1st grade) tomorrow. Finally!!! He’s a bundle of energy and keeping him busy without resorting to the iPad has been a challenge all summer long. I have been schlepping him to camps, parks, museums and tourist attractions for months. Just yesterday, we walked up and down Hollywood Blvd. in 90 degree weather hunting for Pok√©mon. And I have large blisters on my heels to show for it. I also caved and bought a giant trampoline for future days of leisure. I wish I had bought the trampoline earlier this summer. You live and you learn.

He is squirming around right next to me as I write this so I gotta go. All I have to say about this look is that feminine florals are always fabulous and feather sandals are new favorites for me (crushing on these too). To the library we go!

love this look (and the feather and overalls in your last look=100000000 out of 10!)! that embroidered rose on the back is so unexpected and adds such a great edgy touch to a pretty dress
from what you write alone – you are doing a greatttt job being a mom!! so much respect for all your methods to avoid the ipad-technique. your boys will grow up and read this one day and remember those blisters and those walks and it’ll ALLL be worth it!

STAY COOL IN THIS CRAZY HEAT!

I had the same issues all summer with my son being on holiday for 2.5 mths given we had to take him out of school slightly earlier when we relocated. Totally understand and it’s hard not to resort to tech gadgets to keep them occupied. The Waldorf side of me tells me no, the ” I can’t breathe” side of me says ” go ahead – just for 30 mins” but it may span to hours…. it’s tough!!

This whole looks is gorgeous. I am so into long flowing floral looks too and the bucket bag and sandals are such perfect match!

First of all congrats for keeping Lucas busy without succumbing to the iPad. Sounds amazingly challenging! Most parents I know succumb to iPad from age 2. Second you are the most stylish and gorgeous mom every my darling! Love this pink look from head to toe, fantastic dress and accessories! :D You always inspire me on so many levels!
