Coolest Plaid Shirt and Princetown Mules

Zara Shirt | Madewell Jeans (love 1, 2) | Urban Outfitters Bandana (love 12)
Coach Mini Rucksack | Gucci Princetown Mules (flats, save)
Ray-Ban Sunglasses (save 1, 2) | Movado Bold Watch (save) | J. Crew Cuff Bracelet (similar)

Another hit from Zara, this shirt is easily the coolest plaid shirt in my closet. There’s this weathered, grungy vibe about it that is so 90’s and so in right now! It seemed natural to pair it with relaxed distressed denim. But then I slipped on these red hot mules in a classic style and tied a bandana around my neck for some polish and pizazz.

Skortalls, Stars and Amazon Pumps

Ray-Ban Sunglasses (save 1, 2) | Kate Spade Bangle and J. Crew Cuff Bracelet (similar)
Daniel Wellington Watch c/o (+styles, 15% off with code stylewich)

I adore floral prints but I love a good star print too and this blouse is a find! It’s got it all – stars, ruffles, neck tie and a really good price tag for under $30. I wore it under these denim skortalls that I picked up on major sale a few weeks ago and think they make a fun looking pair. I have to tell you that I love the idea of skorts. I can get away with wearing a fairly short skirt because, in fact, I am just wearing a pair of shorts. Ha! I would normally wear this outfit in a casual way with flats and a crossbody bag but I wondered if I could glam it up with my Amazon pumps and a fancy satchel bag

Red Lace Dress and Gold Details

Lace Dress (similar 1, 2) and Clutch c/o VIPme

The internet has completely changed the way I shop. I rarely visit the shopping mall and prefer to do most of my shopping online, after the kids are tucked into bed, in the comfort of my own home and especially in my PJ’s. VIPme is a new women’s fashion website that I discovered recently and I want to provide a quick review for those who haven’t shopped from this site before (brand video here).

VIPme offers all categories of women’s fashion, including dresses, swimsuits, bags, shoes and jewelry, and seems to cater to the classic gal who loves to dress up and make a statement. My favorite category is the dresses! There are some unique pieces at reasonable prices, including this lovely dress in red lace and a demure midi length. I wear a size 0 in most brands but took a size 2 in this dress and no alterations were needed.

To complete my look, I chose a glittery gold clutch with crystals that add a touch of glam. I love the ring handle which can be worn as a ring (see first photo) or held like a small bag. I kept the rest of the outfit simple by adding minimal sandals, delicate gold bracelets and a vintage belt and vest. This outfit is something I would wear for a night at the opera with my husband Chris, who happens to be a big opera fan.

I received my dress and clutch within a week of ordering and VIPme offers a fair 30 day return policy. If you prefer to do your shopping on your mobile phone, there are apps that you can download for the iPhone and Android. For any orders over $50, receive $5 off with the code SILIZ93 and please let me know if you have any questions about the items I’m wearing or shopping at VIPme.

VIPme sponsored this post but all opinions are my own honest impressions. Thank you for supporting the brands that support this blog! :)

Pajama Blazer, Floral Choker and Busted Knees

20160812_01 20160812_02 20160812_03 20160812_04 20160812_05

Zara Pajama Blazer | James Perse Top (love 1, 2) | Levi’s Jeans (similar 1, 2)
Saint Laurent Small Cabas Bag (save) | Stuart Weitzman Nudistsong Sandals (+colors, save 1, 2)
Topshop Choker | Ray-Ban Sunglasses (save 1, 2)

I love the casual vibe of this pajama blazer and a pretty floral print is something that I can’t seem to pass up this summer (examples here and here). I layered it over a plunging neckline top and added a showy floral choker for some drama. My mother-in-law saw me wearing these jeans awhile back and she pointed out that I had some very large holes in my knees. I giggled inside as I gently suggested that the big holes might be a fashion thing that some people like. To balance out the very trendy pieces, I added a classic satchel bag and simple sandals to create a look that is polished but still a lot of fun.

A Great Striped Tee and Embroidered Jeans

The Great Striped Tee | Zara Jeans (also love)
Louis Vuitton Twist PM Bag (save 1, 2) | Nicholas Kirkwood Beya Loafers (save
Kate Spade Bangle | Daniel Wellington Watch c/0 (15% off with code stylewich)
Super Lucia Sunglasses (black, +colorssave)

Okay, this striped tee was a major splurge but I think it’s hard to find basics that I absolutely love and want to wear all the time. This tee is exactly that. The stripes are just right (not too thick, not too thin), the colors are a departure from your usual black or navy stripes and the boyish boxy fit is something that I’ve been looking for to add that cool, California vibe to my casual looks. I throw it on over jeans with the prettiest embroidery of roses and hummingbirds to elevate my mom uniform. Not too shabby for a day at the park. ;)
