This off the shoulder top in versatile chambray and girly ruffles has been a summer staple. At the sale price, plus another 30% off in celebration of July 4th, it’s a steal! I’m a big fan of piling on statement necklaces but lately, I’ve been reaching for chokers and bandanas (see here and here) to embellish my neck. Chokers are fun and bandanas add a polished yet casual vibe to an outfit and feel more wearable when I’m hanging with the kiddos.
July 4th is one of my favorite holidays. For me, summer doesn’t officially start until those fireworks light up the sky and I pass out into a food coma from too much BBQ and pie. :) I wish everyone an excellent holiday weekend!
I love love love this lace dress! I wore it to a wedding recently paired with this pretty flower choker and lace up pumps but have been getting tons of wear in casual settings too. On the weekends, I dress it down with a slouchy denim jacket, easy crossbody bag and slip on sandals. The best part is that it’s on sale and an extra 30% off right now! No-brainer if you ask me. ;)
Summer is officially here, which means it’s romper season! Rompers are so fun and flirty and the short length can be justified by the fact that they are, in fact, shorts. :) I love the vibrant print and colors on this romper and although the material is on the dressy side, I am hoping to dress it down with cute flats and a good hat for casual outings. One trick I use for wearing bright, almost neon colors is to add neutral colored accessories like a black scarf or belt or simple black shoes. I find that pops of black can add balance to a very colorful look.
This dress might be the prettiest thing in my closet at the moment! I feel utterly romantic and love every single detail, including the cold shoulders, ruffles, midi length and sexy back. For a dressed up look, I paired it with loafer mules in a gorgeous shade of red and added a neck scarf and vintage looking satchel to create a ladylike vibe. For a casual look, I switched out the loafer mules and satchel for comfortable wedges and a crossbody bag. I’m planning to wear this one all summer long!
Bloglovin’, H&M and Man Repeller have partnered to host a fashion blogger contest and to enter, I have to style an outfit around one H&M item. As I scoured my closet, this animal print sweater stood out. I picked it up for under $20 when I first started this blog and it’s turned out to be a closet staple. The material is lightweight and comfortable and it looks great with both jeans and skirts, even a red leather miniskirt. Lately, I’ve been focusing on the building blocks to a functional wardrobe – versatile shoes and bags, great jeans, tops that can be dressed up or down and jackets that look good with just about anything! I’m betting that this army jacket will become another staple. The shape is structured yet relaxed, the light olive color is pretty for summer and the studded sleeves are… well, pretty darn irresistible.
