Holiday Gift Guide * Men

I’m a whizz when it comes to shopping but not when it involves shopping for a man! I suck at buying gifts for my poor husband. This year, I decided to step up my gift giving game and spent hours browsing my favorite stores for stylish gift ideas. If you are like me and generally stay away from techie things and gadgets (because he prefers to research and buy those on his own), this holiday gift guide might be a good cheat sheet. And I think the man in your life might appreciate the style boost!

For men, a good jacket, amazing accessories and killer shoes are key. I think that men also appreciate basics that feel really nice. Lately, I’ve been giving Chris a mini makeover. He’s not as bold about fashion as I am but I can tell he appreciates stylish elements. We switched out his cologne from the classic Bleu de Chanel to the more modern scent by Carven. We’re trying out some new sneakers. And he recently requested skinny jogger pants and “cool funky dress socks.” I also think he needs a new wallet with a sexy snake slithering across the cover! Definitely!

Velvet Pantsuit and Sequin Turtleneck

Velvet Pantsuit c/o VIPme
H&M Top | Louis Vuitton Bag | Saint Laurent Pumps | Dior Sunglasses

I love the holidays for all the different occasions to dress up. As you might have guessed, dressing up is something that I love to do! This velvet pantsuit is a groovy way to change things up from my usual lineup of cocktail dresses. I feel effortlessly cool in this style and love pairing the suit with a sequined turtleneck to create some holiday sparkle. I find that flare or bell bottom pants look great with sky high heels, creating the illusion of longer legs. I am 5’3″ so I always welcome the opportunity to look a little taller.

The color of the pantsuit is a beautiful jewel tone burgundy and the fabric is a sumptuous velvet. The whole suit costs less than a similar pair of pants that have been on my wish list. And the quality of the suit is top notch! I couldn’t believe how well made it is for the price and I look forward to wearing the blazer and pants together and separately this winter season. I am a size 0 in most brands and ordered a size 0 in this suit, which turned out to be a size small. I plan to have the waist taken in a little but otherwise the fit is spot on!

Shopping at VIPme was a great experience again (previous experience here). VIPme offers a huge selection of clothing and accessories in the latest styles. It’s a good place to find a dress for holiday parties (love this and this) or stock up on a few basic pieces for the season (eyeing this and this). The browsing and ordering process was smooth and delivery was super quick! The store seems to offer promotions and coupons fairly frequently, especially for the holiday season. In addition, get $5 off any purchase over $50 with the code LIZ381.

Big thanks to VIPme for sponsoring this post! All opinions are my own honest impressions.

Blank NYC Suede Moto Jacket | Express Jeans (similar)
Chloé Faye Bag | Vans Sk8 Sneakers
Janessa Leone Hat | Ray-Ban Sunglasses

This suede moto jacket seems to be a favorite among fashion bloggers and there’s a reason why! It’s the best that you’ll find at this price point or at an even higher one. The style is classic yet cool and I love the yummy texture that suede gives to outfits. It instantly elevates a casual ensemble of sweater, jeans and sneakers and it comes in so many good colors ranging from gorgeous neutrals to something vibrant. I’m certain that any gal would love to receive this jacket as a gift this Christmas. (And it’s 40% off today here.)

Can you handle one more sale? I picked up so many goodies in this one!

Metallic Skirt and Loafer Mules

Baldwin Denim Top (love, save) | ASOS Metallic Skirt (tall) | Zara Coat
Mansur Gavriel Circle Bag (save) | Gucci Princetown Loafer Mules (save)
Kenneth Jay Lane Earrings | J. Crew and Ann Taylor Cuffs (love) | Ray-Ban Sunglasses

This metallic skirt is the perfect thing to wear on those days when you feel like you have nothing cute to wear. It’s flashy and fun and looks more expensive than it is. I love dressing it up with a silk or velvet cami for a date night or keeping it casual in a white buttondown or sweater for my day-to-day activities. These loafer mules have been my favorite pair of shoes this year. They add so much polish to outfits without being too serious!

Black Friday sales have started which means I’ve been a very busy bee. The Shopbop sale is on and I’ve featured my favorites below. And there’s also J. Crew! We can’t forget about J. Crew, where everything is 40% off!

Black Friday Sales Part II

Ready for more Black Friday sales? This weekend will be a great opportunity to buy holiday gifts or update your wardrobe for the winter season (I’m planning to revamp my sweater shelf this year). As I mentioned in the previous post, many stores are likely to have sitewide promotions and it helps to be prepared. I like to browse in advance and make a list of my favorites. I shared my picks from Club Monaco, Ann Taylor, Express, Banana Republic and Steve Madden. These are a few more goodies on my wish list this weekend:

In addition, Net-a-Porter is having an amazing sale right now and things are selling out quickly. You don’t want to miss this one!
