Zara Blouse | Topshop Mom Jeans (white, shorts)
Gucci Original GG Crossbody Bag (save 1, 2, 3) | Gucci Princetown Mules (save 1, 2)
Coach Mini Rucksack | Tieks Ballet Flats (+colors) c/o
Super Lucia Sunglasses (black, white, save) | Fendi Retro Sunglasses (black, similar, save)

I’m channeling a summer garden in this floral blousefloral jeans and little bee. I was initially unsure about mom jeans but after trying on this pair (and this pair), I’m totally on board! The fit is high waisted, slightly slouchy and tapered at the ankles. Somehow, they work to create a look that is sexy-cute in a retro way. I love wearing my block heel mules for a pop of red but for casual outings, I like to switch out the heels for ruby red ballet flats and add a backpack for when I need to carry my babies (my boys are 2.5 and almost 6 and yes, I still carry them). The ballet flats are comfortable, beautifully made and fold up easily to fit inside my handbags, even the small crossbody ones.

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale opens to the public on Friday and I’ve linked a few more of my favorites below. Happy shopping everyone!

Ruffle Jumpsuit, Slithur and Moon Clutch

ASOS Jumpsuit (black, love 1, 2)
Mansur Gavriel Moon Clutch | Steve Madden Slithur Sandals (block heel 1, 2)
Banana Republic Brooch and Sunglasses (new season) | Kate Spade Bangle

The color wheel is a marvelous thing and chartreuse is one of my favorite spots on the wheel (so is marigold). In addition to the fresh color, I love the ruffles on this jumpsuit – so dramatic and attention grabbing! I am finding that jumpsuits are a great way to dress up in a modern way. For the rest of the look, I added clean lines with a moon shaped clutch and caged heels and kept things minimal with a delicate brooch and simple bangle that sparkle in a subtle way.

This summer has been whizzing by and we’ve been having so much fun meeting friends for outdoor movies (if you haven’t tried, you MUST check out this and this), ice cream excursions (so creamy) and dinner dates at trendy restaurants (recently loved our experience here). We’re hoping to add to our calendar more trips to the zoo, seafood feasts at the beach and general shenanigans with our friends and family for a well rounded summer. ;)

Tulle Dress, Rockstud and Floral Bomber

ASOS Dress (size up, maxi) | Zara Bomber
Chanel Mini Flap Bag (save 1, 2) | Valentino Rockstud Pumps (high heel, save)
Nasty Gal Choker (in stores, similar) | Kate Spade Bangle (+colors)

Can you tell I’m excited about the 90’s trends? Floral bomber and bow choker, yes please! I love that they add a modern vibe to a very girly, very fluffy pink prom dress. I’ve never stepped into a ballet studio but I love wearing tulle! (see herehere and here) Tulle is the epitome of girly and fun and I think that when it comes to fashion, that’s where I feel most at home.

Happy weekend my loves!

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Starts Today!

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale starts today for Nordstrom cardholders! This sale is one of Nordie’s biggest sales of the year and a great opportunity to pick up some new things for fall. Remember these are new season items that are on sale for a limited time and prices will go back up in a few weeks.

A quick way to freshen up your wardrobe for fall is to add a new piece of outerwear. This drapey coat is sophisticated and modern while this suede moto jacket looks amazing for the price. I love wearing vests when the weather cools down and this leather moto vest could be the perfect thing to layer over flannel shirts and turtleneck sweaters.

Booties are a great transitional piece because they look cute with summer dresses and just as cute with sweaters and jeans in the colder months. Stuart Weitzman makes beautiful, comfortable boots so I’m eyeing these berry colored ones to brighten up fall outfits and I’m loving the pointed toe and sleek design of these booties by Ivanka Trump.

I’m looking forward to wearing my OTK boots again! I have two high heel pairs that I adore and I am now looking for a good low heel version to wear on chilly outings with my family. The problem is, I can’t decide between black or charcoal

When I shop, I’m drawn to jackets, dresses and tops so I have to remind myself to think about my bottoms. Bottoms tend to be basic but this sale might be a good time to try something new like jeans with a cool hem, leather leggings (so good!) and high waisted pants with a kicky cropped leg.

You know I’m all about the accessories. I’m telling you, good accessories can take a cute outfit to another level! I believe that a good hat and statement sunglasses are worth the splurge and when it comes to jewelry, I love both the classic and the cool.

Aaaaaand… handbags are the ultimate accessory. I can’t believe this popular style is on sale and I love the idea of a soft suede bag in rich colors like berry and cognac.

In the coming weeks, I’ll provide updates on the sale so check back often! Happy shopping my loves!

Florals, Princetown and Oversized Denim Jacket

Topshop Dress | Madewell Oversized Denim Jacket (save)
J. Crew Bag (love 1, 2) | Gucci Princetown Loafer Mules (save)
Fendi Sunglasses (save 1, 2) | Kate Spade Bangles (+colors)

There’s been a lot of floral print around here and I might have to warn you that the obsession is not going to stop anytime soon! The dainty florals and light colors on this dress are summery and sweet while this denim jacket really does go with everything. And I mean everything (see here, here, here). I added red accessories to give this outfit a pop and my new favorite tortoise shell sunglasses for that touch of something funky.
